The Registration "SNC School Program 2026" is not currently available.
We are excited to announce that we have added more slots to our program to serve growing demand! Our School Program is a fantastic way to get your students outdoors, active, and learning this winter!
Designed for 3rd-6th graders, and now 7th-8th graders, in the Lake Pend Oreille School District, local private schools, and homeschoolers, our goal is to expose kids to the life long sport of cross-country skiing and to educate them on the history, conservation, and trails of Pine Street Woods.
The program includes the following:
20 minute, pre field trip lesson, designed by Kaniksu Land Trust (owners of Pine Street Woods), for teachers to build student learning about their community forest.
Two hour off-site at Pine Street Woods
Cross country ski or snowshoe equipment outfitting for each student
Introduction to cross country skiing led by our knowledgeable staff and volunteer skiers
Guided tour around Pine Street Woods
Hot cocoa post-skiing :)
A coupon for a return trip offering free skiing for the student and half price for their family
We encourage teachers and parents to participate as well. Parent volunteers are helpful for getting kids in their gear!

Final Thoughts
The program is popular. If you haven’t been up yet please ask your colleagues about their experience.
Please note that we do not cancel any planned sessions unless LPOSD has an official school closure. If there is no snow, or even if it is raining, on your day we will still plan to snowshoe or hike the trails. If you decide to cancel your session, please let us know by emailing sandpointnordic@gmail.com.
This program is separate from our 8 week after school youth ski league.
Registration link will be provided in December. Please email us at sandpointnordic@gmail.com with any questions.
